The old King I modeled on a very sturdy skeleton of iron wire, entirely by hand in quality polymer clay without the use of molds.
I have wanted to put in evidence the advanced age with some wrinkles, modeling with care the features of the face, the bones of the hands and the feet. The falling ears and an indication of baldness because of the age.
Hair, is inserted with patience one to one. They are made out of soft wool white Mohair as also the eyebrows.
The eyes previously cooked and paintings, I then inserted during the processing of facial features.
The wings are four leaves of fabric, modified and adapted to their function, very carefully decorated by hand with gold glitter and made more stringent with transparent gel and green glitter.
The King is wearing only a loincloth: I made this choice to highlight the sculpture.
The crown is made from an old ring, adapted and refined by hand with metallic wire and gold glitter.
The stone on which sits the old king, is made of quality polymer clay and modeled with the features of a face.
